ULPI is a standard 12-pin interface that connects the USB PHY to the controller. Through this compact interface, in-expensive, small footprint USB2.0 high speed OTG PHY from Richnex can be used to implement the USB2.0 system in the following situations:

1. Enabling FPGA based design;
2. MCUs (e.g. STM32-F4) with ULPI interface;
3. SoCs (e.g. GDM7205) with ULPI interface

Richnex’ PHY solution can support a broad range of requirements, the 3mm x 3mm CSP (chip scale package) is most suitable for portable devices while 5mm x 5mm QFN-32 is ideal for general purpose usage.
